Legal / privacy policy
Privacy, in plain words.
Last updated: August 24, 2026. This is the privacy policy for profitplusmedia.com, run by Profit Plus Media Corp. We work with companies in the United States and Canada. Our SMS and messaging terms sit on the terms page, and nothing here changes them.
1. What we collect
We collect what you hand us, and that is the whole list. You can read this entire site without giving us anything.
When you book a call. The calendar on our contact page is a booking widget from a scheduling and CRM platform. What you type into it comes to us: your name, your email address, your phone number, details about your business, and the time you picked.
When you apply for a job. The form on our careers page takes your full name, your email address, your phone number, the role you chose, the years of experience you chose, and what you wrote about yourself. Two fields are optional and you can leave both empty: a link to a video, and a resume file. We also record that the application came from this website, so we know where to file it.
When you write to us. If you email us, or reply to a text or a call, we have whatever you put in it.
Ordinary server logs. The company that hosts this website keeps basic technical logs, such as the IP address a request came from and the pages it asked for, to serve the site and keep it secure. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
2. How we use it
To answer you. If you write to us, we write back. That is the first and most common reason we have your details at all.
To run the 15-minute phone call. Booking it, confirming it, reminding you about it, and following up afterwards. If you decide to work with us, we use the same details to run the work you hired us for and to talk to you about it while it is running.
To hire. A person here reads your application and decides whether to take the conversation further. If you look like a good fit, we send you a private link to our application portal.
We do not use your information for a new purpose without telling you first, except where applicable law requires or allows us to.
3. Text messages
Our full SMS and messaging terms live in section 2 of our terms page, and that page is the one that controls. Nothing on this page changes, narrows or replaces it. Here is what it commits us to.
Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a final confirmation message and no further texts.
Help: Reply HELP or email contact@profitplusmedia.com for assistance.
Frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
4. What we do not do
We never sell your personal information. Not to a data broker, not to another agency, not to anyone, at any price.
We do not feed your form data to ad networks. Nothing you type into a form on this site is passed by us to an advertising platform to build an audience out of you. We put no advertising or analytics code of our own on any page here. The booking widget on our contact page is somebody else’s software and it loads code of its own, which is the one exception on this site and is set out in full in section 8.
Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
We do not rent, trade or publish your information, and we do not hand it to anybody to target you across other websites.
5. Who else touches it
Running a business takes tools, and a few of them hold what you sent us. These are the kinds of companies involved, and each one only gets what it needs to do its part.
Our website host. Serves these pages and keeps the technical logs described in section 1.
A scheduling and CRM platform. The booking calendar on our contact page is embedded from one, so a booking lands there first. Our client email and text messaging runs from the same kind of platform.
An automation service. When you send the careers form, your answers and any file you attached go from your browser through an automation service, which files the application where the person reading it will see it.
A video platform. The filmed client testimonial that appears on our videos page, on our reviews page and on one case study page is hosted by one. It loads only when you press play, and until you do, nothing on those pages reaches it. See section 8.
A payment processor, when you buy something from us. It handles that transaction. If you never buy anything from us, none is involved.
These providers handle your information under confidentiality obligations, strictly to operate our business. We may also disclose information where we are required to by applicable law, or to establish or defend a legal claim, and if our business is ever sold or merged your information may move with it, under this policy.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, and after that for as long as we are required to keep records under applicable law.
In plain terms: if you booked a call or became a client, your details stay while we are dealing with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you applied for work, your application stays while we are hiring for that kind of role. If you asked us to stop texting you, we keep the fact that you opted out, because that is the record that keeps us from texting you again.
You can ask us to delete it sooner. Section 7 says how, and we delete what we are not required to keep.
7. Your rights, and how to use them
Email contact@profitplusmedia.com and tell us what you want. That is the whole process. There is no form to fill in and no fee.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, and ask us to stop contacting you.
Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, where it applies to us. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits, and we will tell you what withdrawing means for you before we act on it. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
United States. Several states give their residents rights over personal information, such as the right to know what is held, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to not be treated differently for asking. If you live in one of those states, email us and we will handle your request as required by applicable law. Because we do not sell personal information and do not hand it to advertising networks, there is nothing of that kind for you to opt out of here.
We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request, so that nobody can use this to get at somebody else’s information. We answer within the time applicable law gives us.
8. Cookies and tracking
Analytics is optional. On your first visit, this site asks whether you allow Google Analytics. Before you allow it, the Google Analytics script does not load and no Analytics request is sent to Google. If you choose No thanks, Analytics stays off.
If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga to measure page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, file downloads, video engagement, site searches, and form interactions. We use this information in aggregate to understand how people use the site and where a page may need repair. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization remain disabled. We do not run Meta Pixel or another advertising pixel. Google processes the Analytics data under its ownprivacy policy.
Your choice stays under your control. Your browser keeps a small local preference so the site remembers whether you allowed Analytics. The preference contains no identity or browsing history. Use the Privacy choices link in the footer to change your choice. Turning Analytics off removes its first-party cookies and reloads the page without the Google tag.
Your browser also holds one note while your tab is open so that the short opening animation plays once instead of on every page. It is not sent anywhere, records nothing about you, and disappears when you close the tab.
Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than from a font network, so reading these pages does not tell a font company that you visited.
Two parts of this site are built by other companies, and each is plainly visible where it lives.
The filmed testimonial sits on our videos page, on our reviews page and on one case study page. What you see before you press play is an image served from our own domain, so nothing reaches the video platform while you are only reading. Pressing play is what builds the player, and we use the platform’s no-cookie address for it. If you never press play, that company never hears from your browser.
The booking calendar on our contact page is the one place on this site where somebody else’s software runs, and it is worth being exact about what that means. The calendar is a window onto a page served by the scheduling platform, and that page is theirs, not ours. When you open our contact page it loads, and it brings its own things with it: files and fonts from its own servers and from Google’s, and an advertising script library from Meta. It also keeps an identifier of its own in your browser. None of that is our code and none of it is on any other page of this site, but it happens because we put the calendar there, so you should know about it. What that software loads is the platform’s decision and it can change without any change to this site, so read their privacy policy for what they do with it.
If you would rather none of that ran, do not open our contact page. On every other page, no third-party code loads unless you allow Google Analytics. You can always reach us by phone or email instead, and section 13 has both.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, the booking calendar in particular, may stop working properly if you do.
Your browser may send a Do Not Track or a Global Privacy Control signal. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising across other websites. Google Analytics remains off unless you allow it in the site controls, and advertising storage remains disabled if you do. We do not treat you differently for sending either signal. We cannot make that signal do anything inside the booking widget described in section 8, because that software is not ours to answer for.
9. Children
This site is for business owners and for people looking for work. It is not built for children, it is not aimed at them, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
10. How we protect it
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and so is the careers form, so what you type into it travels encrypted rather than in the clear.
The providers in section 5 hold what you sent us inside accounts whose access we control, and we keep that access to the people who need it for the reason you gave us the information in the first place.
Here is the honest limit. No website, no company and no method of moving information across the internet is completely secure, and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling something. We cannot promise that your information will never be exposed. What we can tell you is that we do not spread it further than section 5 describes, and that the less of it we keep, the less there is to lose, which is the reason section 6 exists.
If something happens to your information that applicable law requires us to tell you about, we will tell you, in the manner and within the time that law sets.
11. Where it is handled, and other sites
Where it is handled. The providers in section 5 operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed in a country other than the one you live in. Wherever it sits, this policy still applies to it, and the provider is still under the confidentiality obligations section 5 describes.
Other sites. This site links out to other places, including our profiles on other platforms and the Trustpilot page where our reviews live. Those are ordinary links and nothing loads from them while you are here: the reviews you read on our reviews page are quoted in our own markup, from our own domain. Once you have left for somebody else’s website, their privacy policy governs what they collect there, not this one. We do not control those places, and we do not receive what you do on them.
The two embedded parts described in section 8 work differently, and it is worth being exact about it. The company hosting each one applies its own policy to its own part. On top of that, a booking you complete in the calendar reaches us as well, because that is what the calendar is for, and section 1 describes what we get from it. The video is the other way round: pressing play tells the video platform, not us.
No software decides anything about you. A person reads your application and a person answers your email. Nothing here profiles you automatically, and no decision about you is made without a person involved in making it.
This is the whole of what we say. This policy, together with the messaging terms on the terms page, is everything we commit to about how we handle your information. Nobody here can give you a commitment that goes further unless we put it in writing.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at profitplusmedia.com/privacy with the last updated date at the top, and that date is how you tell one version from another. Continued use of the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request you want us to act on? Reach out. A person reads it.
